I want to say at the outset that logic is not necessary to achieve happiness. Many, many good people do not formally use logic and some are my personal heroes (and heroines). They are happy the way sacred texts of many religions tell them to be. They trust in God, do the right things, live good lives and are models for all of us. So, what's my problem?
My problem is that people I care deeply about are very uneasy using logic when thinking about the Big Questions. They use their emotional feelings to arrive at the Big Truths. Feelings are extremely important and Truth is Truth no matter how obtained BUT we all have this God-given logical ability. There are less Big Secrets than you think and you must use cold logic to uncover them. It's tough because we have been taught differently and have been hoaxed and wangled by "authorities" who chatter and "explain" and who have hypnotized themselves into believing all kinds of things that, "Ain't necessarily so".
I do not, repeat, do not want to analyze all the fun out of Life. Not at all. When you use logic you get more fun, more emotional enjoyment and more complete enjoyment. You get enjoyment that matches your natural, inherent capabilities. For once you logically understand what is going on you are much, much freer to enjoy this glorious activity we call Life.
