"It is the will of Allah." "We are all in God's hands." "Thy will be done." "Etc."
Plan: A method for achieving an end. A method devised for making or doing something or achieving an end. Plan always implies mental formulation...
Mirriam-Webster Online.
It has occurred to me that we are much less powerful than we think we are. After all, if you have made a Plan for your life before you took it on (you did) then what's happening to you is according to your Plan. All you have to do is experience it with a variation of joy (from ecstasy to relaxation).
In other words, What Is is your Plan. When you think you are changing your plan you are, in fact, just making it happen. You can pray, wish, "make it happen", buy, whine or cajole all you want but what happens is according to your Plan and nothing more. You didn.t make a partial-plan or a lets-wait-and-see-plan or I'll-change-it-when-I-get-started-plan. You made an irrevocable Plan.
I'm not saying stop vigorously pursuing your goals (or give up) because if you are then that's what your Plan calls for you to do anyway. All I'm saying is enjoy the hell out of it. If you disagree with what I'm saying then that's your Plan. Just argue happily, show me where I'm wrong, laugh and realize, as I do, that we are dealing with probabilities and not certainty.
In the fullness of it all you and I are immensely powerful. We were given the power, along with a lot of advice, to create a Plan and then live it. Yippee! And Halleluiah! We decided quite deliberately to become subservient to our Plans.
Once made, argued over and agreed to, Plans become boss. That's a lot of power and I take considerable joy for being able to do that. My Plan, I think, was to deepen my understanding of spirituality. I wanted to improve and it.s still happening. (Marrying my honey was a major part of my progress.)
By the by, I don't know how to find out what's in any Plan. Perhaps astrology is useful (where do you find a really good astrologer?) because it matches your birth date/time that maybe correlates to past, present and future events.
I'm curious about my Plan but only just curious because I think things, and me, are just fine the way they are. I meditate just to deepen the enjoyment of it all. It's distinctly possible to meditate to "improve" my life but that only leads to anxiety, regret, sadness, etc.*
