Manual for a Happy Life

The Staff wishes to salute you for your courage and your desire to improve. You have received approval for your Life Plans, and Exit Points, you have been well briefed and you should do well. We stand ready and eager to assist you during your lives.

You have chosen the planet Earth for your work. This is an excellent choice as it is evolving rapidly now and with your help, and ours, it will continue to do so.

Remember always that the life-forms you have chosen to utilize for your work have their own minds and survival mechanisms. All life-forms, including your human ones, use propagation as their principal survival mechanism. It is good to remember that the earthly concepts of "Good" and "Evil" are derived directly from the pro-life drives of all Earth’s inhabitants.

This Manual is short because your Plans have been extensively critiqued and approved for your Trip. It concentrates on, "Slow Down", "Appreciate" and "Enjoy" as the three basics for a happy life.

Slow Down does not mean stop. Slow down is a relative recommendation in that what is fast for one can be slow for another. Slowing down allows for the careful and necessary observation of the events you have chosen to unfold in your Plan.

Appreciation follows from observation. Your events will occur in a linear cause-and-effect fashion. The adage, "You reap what you sow", describes this exactly. Careful observation will teach you to appreciate the effects of your choices and decisions and to evaluate your reactions to the results.

Enjoyment is your birth right. Everything in your Plans has been arranged for your enlightenment and therefore, enjoyment. All events that you experience can contribute to your awareness of your true Nature. Logical analysis of your experiences produces great joy and contentment.

A few words about propagation are relevant. Without the continuance of Life there would be none of the experiences that are necessary for your improvement. Common to all life forms, the powerful and insistent drives to propagate are, ergo, normal and necessary. Treat them with the respect they deserve.

Similarly, the diversions and enjoyments that are plentiful on Earth are not ends in themselves but only to show your correct choices. They, like errors in judgment and decision making, are very accurate guides to behavior. Regular reflection of both your correct and incorrect decisions leads to a deepening of your appreciation and enjoyment.

Finally, never despair your existence. Whatever the results of your work you will return here and continue to be loved and admired as you are now.
